On Friday the 15th of October the community of Tennant Creek came together to march in support of Breast Cancer.

This is an annual march, and everyone wore pink to show their support.

The RN Employment Team also supported the day by decorating the office in pink and also wearing heaps of pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM). The month aims to show the impact that breast cancer has on Australians each day.

Did you know?
“Over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed with the disease this year alone. That equates to 55 Australians every day.”

During October you can get involved by hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast. It can be in person (restrictions permitting) or virtually.

“You can choose to host a breakfast, morning tea, brunch, or lunch from the comfort of your own home, at work, in your community (restrictions permitting) or jump online and host a virtual event. Raise funds for game-changing breast cancer research – because together we can help stop deaths from breast cancer. “ (https://nbcf.org.au/)

RN Employment was proud to be part of the annual pink march. It was also good to see many other community members wearing pink on the day too.
