Rise-Ngurratjuta has presented the Jurnkkurakurr Volunteers with a $500 voucher for BP Tennant Creek to allow the Volunteers to purchase refreshments while working.
The Jurnakkurakurr Volunteers meet at the local BP service station every night from 9:30 pm to help prevent the crime and anti-social behaviour in Tennant Creek.
The volunteers support the staff at BP and also assist with limiting the number of young people hanging around when the Greyhound buses come through. This is all done on their own time, this community service has made a great impact on the anti-social behaviour in Tennant Creek
